Publication highlights recent overview of new applications for the Green Globe brand

Green Globe International, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: GGLBE) , the worldwide owner of the Green Globe brand, today issued the May 2009 edition of its shareholder newsletter, which highlights the recently released overview of new applications for the Green Globe brand.

The May 2009 newsletter edition has been added to the company's website at, and a text only version of the newsletter's release will be distributed to subscribers of the company's website-based mailing list.

The newsletter includes a recent Green Globe press release that reviewed the inclusion of the Green Globe brand, the pre-eminent worldwide symbol for sustainability and response to climate change, in several new applications including the American Automobile Association's tour books, Travelocity's Green Directory, British Airway's AIRMILES program.

The American Automobile Association (AAA), which has over 51 million members in the United States and Canada, now features Green Globe Certified properties in its travel material. Travelocity, one of the largest travel companies in the world with annual gross bookings of more than $10 billion, has launched an eco-friendly directory, which highlights properties and destinations already offering meaningful sustainability initiatives. Green Globe certified hotels and resorts are featured on the Travelocity directory. AIRMILES, a program owned by British Airways, implemented a new product category of "Greener Hotels" on its website and reservation system, which identifies for its customers the hotels that have achieved Green Globe Certification in order to allow travelers to choose environmentally responsible hotels within the AIRMILES program.

Another newsletter article highlights the company's strategic partnership agreement with Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc., which provides customized environmental solutions to green businesses in a variety of industries, to collaborate on projects involving the Green Globe brand and its sustainability programs.

Included in the CEO Greeting feature in the newsletter are comments by Steven R. Peacock regarding large projects in which the company is expecting to participate, including a major metropolitan green business initiative and involvement with a major U.S. public transit system.

Mr. Peacock writes, "We are finding that the response to the Green Globe program, particularly due to its long history in the global sustainability movement dating back to 1993, is overwhelmingly positive. This has been proven once again as we have become involved in these projects in the U.S., where sustainability is in its relative infancy, but where it is obviously picking up tremendous momentum at every level, from the President down to individual consumer expectation."

The change was made as a result of growing interest in the Green Globe brand and its affiliated programs and an increasing number of incoming calls from businesses, organizations and individuals around the world.

The Green Globe brand and program, which traces its roots back to the United Nations Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit in 1992, where 182 Heads of State endorsed the Agenda 21 principles of Sustainable Development, has primarily been used in the travel and tourism industry but is now being expanded to include a growing number of environmentally responsible businesses in a variety of market sectors. The Green Globe brand is an ideal symbol for the world's increasing awareness of environmental responsibility and response to global climate change.
